Southwest Regional Director: Imani Nash-Bey

Prior to her role as the Southwest Regional Director, Imani Nash-Bey served as Co-President of the Inland Valley Chapter of Mocha Moms. She has been a Mocha Mom for nine years, has served as both President and Vice President for the Inland Valley chapter, and as Vice President for the Los Angeles Chapter.

She has been an educator for 16 years and currently teaches at an elementary school in San Bernardino, CA. She also owns and operates a natural hair salon called Hairstory in Rancho Cucamonga, CA where they specialize in locks, braids, twist and natural hair.

Imani has been married for 22 years and is mother to five children ranging in ages from 10 to 24 years old. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Imani moved to the Los Angeles area as a teenager and to the Inland Empire when her oldest children were young. In addition to teaching elementary school and running her salon, Imani teaches dance and drill team and calls herself the "ultimate dance Mom" given her girls are on a competitive dance team.

Imani says she is very excited to serve as Regional Director for the Southwest. Her most memorable event as a Mocha was the first southwest conference she attended in Arizona and she can't wait for the Southwest region to be active again.
