Mocha Induction Ceremony

Mocha Moms, Inc. has been welcoming moms into our sisterhood since 1997. In that time, thousands of moms have joined our ranks. However, we never established a uniform national induction ceremony - until now! To celebrate our 22nd year, we are introducing the National Mocha Moms, Inc. Induction Ceremony. We have long regarded Mocha Moms, Inc. as a sisterhood. Most recently, we have likened it to a “Mothering Sorority”. It is our hope that this Induction Ceremony will serve to strengthen and underscore the bonds of sisterhood and the level of commitment expected within our organization.

Starting in 2019, every chapter of Mocha Moms, Inc. will conduct at least one Induction Ceremony per calendar year. The frequency, month, and location of the ceremony will be left to the discretion of the chapter leadership. However, a chapter should plan to hold its first 2019 Induction Ceremony no later than September 30, 2019. Every Mocha whose membership is valid through December 2019 should have the opportunity to be formally inducted, even if she is not new to the organization. After 2019, only Mochas who are new to the organization will be inducted.

Additionally, we hope to be able to offer lapel pins online in the coming months. Mochas will then have the option of purchasing those pins and using them in the Induction Ceremony.

We are excited to bring this level of formality and uniformity to our organization. We hope to continue on that path as our sisterhood grows and matures.
